Artist Statement
For me art is a form of expression with no barriers or boundaries.
I do not limit myself to one medium or style, but find that nature is most often the inspiration behind my work. I grew up in Northern Minnesota immersed in wilderness and I strive to share this rich experience with others through my art.
As I've evolved as an artist, my focus has shifted to a more contemporary style. I enjoy using color, line and texture to capture the essence of my subject matter. My paintings are representations, but also creations blending my perceptions of the world around me with the creative force that comes from within. There is a certain intimacy and freedom this direction brings to my art.
